Hey guys just recently got the LG surround sound home theater system. I have a high definition television with direct tv and would like to use my surround system with my direct tv. Does anybody know how to do this or how to connect it? Thanks

Your surround system receiver would need to have inputs for video and audio from the DIRECTV box. For HD video, the video input on the receiver would need to be either a component style input (3 RCA jacks) or HDMI, and for surround sound the input would have to be coaxial digital, optical digital, or an HDMI input (HDMI carries both audio and video).
If your receiver and DIRECTV both have compatible audio and video connectors, then after connecting them you would need to run the video output from the receiver to your TV, using either a component or HDMI cable.
