how does the LG monitor work with a laptop while it is closed?
Question by Nicole C: how does the LG monitor work with a laptop while it is closed?
We have a lap top, and a LG monitor - we can use the monitor just fine when the lap top is open but the point of the wireless keypad/mouse/monitor is to store the laptop. How do we use it with the laptop closed?

The whole point of closing the laptop is to switch it off, there is no way that I know of that would keep it on when its closed. Just dont store it!

When the laptop closes, it usually goes into sleep mode. To continue to run the laptop with the lid closed, I can give you instructions for Windows Vista and 7 but I am not sure about XP. Anyway, click on the battery button in the system tray (bottom right corner). Then click on more power options. Look along the left side and click on “choose what closing the lid does”. Change the setting to “Do Nothing” for battery, plugged in, or both (whatever you prefer). While you are there, feel free to look around the other battery settings to change whatever you like. I hope I have helped and good luck.
